Understanding the Prophetic Dimension in the Timing and Fulfilling of God’s Plans and Purposes!
1. Prayer Path
Revelations (A Journey to the Word)
Scripture:
By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. — Psalm 119:105 (MSG)
Then King David turned to the entire assembly and said, “My son Solomon, whom God has chosen to be the next king of Israel, is still young and inexperienced. The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build is not just another building—it is for the Lord God himself!” — 1 Chronicles 29:1 (NLT)
Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement. He gave him the plans of all that the Spirit had put in his mind… “All this,” David said, “I have in writing from the hand of the Lord upon me, and he gave me understanding in all the details of the plan.” — 1 Chronicles 28:11-12, 19 (NIV)
At that time the prophets Haggai and Zechariah son of Iddo prophesied to the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem. They prophesied in the name of the God of Israel who was over them. Zerubbabel… and Jeshua… responded by starting again to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them and helped them. — Ezra 5:1-2 (NLT)
Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. — Amos 3:7 (NIV)
Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, “Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.” — 2 Chronicles 20:20 (NLT)

Reflections (A Journey to the Past)
Scripture:
Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way. — Psalm 16:11 (MSG)
Personal Life-Lessons: A Source and a Symbol
Understanding the Prophetic Dimension in the Timing and Fulfilling of God’s Plans and Purposes!
Definitions:
“Symbol”:
“Something that stands for, represents or suggests another thing” (e.g., a dove is a symbol of peace). “Something that conveys a much greater reality.”
“Source”:
“A spring or fountain that is the starting point of a stream; that from which something comes into existence, develops or derives.”
Scripture:
This is what the Lord Almighty says: Take heart and finish the task! You have heard what the prophets have been saying about building the Temple of the Lord Almighty ever since the foundation was laid… For I am planting seeds of peace and prosperity among you. The grapevines will be heavy with fruit… Among the nations, Judah and Israel had become symbols of what it means to be cursed. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing! So don’t be afraid or discouraged, but instead get on with rebuilding the Temple! — Zechariah 8:9, 12-13 (NLT)
3. Prayer Path
Realities (A Journey to Understanding)
Scripture:
Take me by the hand; lead me down the path of truth. You are my Savior, aren’t you? — Psalm 25:5 (MSG)
I will climb up into my watchtower now and wait to see what the Lord will say to me and how he will answer… Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” — Habakkuk 2:1-3 (NLT)
But to each one is given the manifestation of the [Holy] Spirit [the evidence, the spiritual illumination of the Spirit] for good and profit. To one is given in and through the [Holy] Spirit [the power to speak] a message of wisdom, and to another [the power to express] a word of knowledge and understanding according to the same [Holy] Spirit… To another the working of miracles, to another prophetic insight (“the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose”)… — 1 Corinthians 12:7-8; 10a (AMPC)
The Principle of Prophetic Dimension
The Holy Spirit, as God’s ___________ in carrying out our Heavenly Father’s ______ and ___________ on earth, continues to use the _________________ dimension (1 Corinthians 12:10) to affirm and confirm His _________ and _____________ for His people. By His Spirit, God often gives supernatural gifts to certain of His children to provide spiritual _______________ for the good and profit of His followers.
