Kingdom Prayer

Lesson 05 — Kingdom Wealth

Part 1 — Three Models for Multiplication

Foundational Scripture:
For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you. Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock; who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end—then you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.” And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. — Deuteronomy 8:7-18 (NKJV)

Three Kingdom Wealth Models for Multiplication!

1. Model One of Kingdom Wealth: The ___________________ Model

Scripture:
At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously… and prayed… regularly. One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”… The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts… have come up as a memorial offering before God.” — Acts 10:1-4 (NIV)

First Principle: Kingdom wealth is an opportunity to __________ an eternal ___________________ to God Himself.

2. Model Two of Kingdom Wealth: The _____________________ Model

Scripture:
And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God’s will… But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us—see that you also excel in this grace of giving. — 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, 7 (NIV)

Second Principle: Kingdom wealth is an opportunity to transform severe ________________ into the excellence of ____________.

3. Model Three of Kingdom Wealth: The _____________________ Model

Scripture:
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. — 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 (NLT)

Third Principle: Kingdom wealth is an opportunity to plant ___________ of generosity that ___________ to produce a bountiful ________________.

AFTERTHOUGHTS… PONDER AND PRAY

Ponder Points: Discuss (or ponder) how the managing of our wealth can become an eternal memorial to God. Why can it be said that every follower of Jesus is wealthy in Christ despite their material possessions?

Prayer Points: Ask God to show you specific ways you can use your wealth, no matter how great it may be, to impact the harvest. Pray that God will specifically bless Christian businessmen you know to better focus their wealth on the end-time harvest.

Redemptive Giving: A Premise

The _____________ to which one is saved is the ______________ to which one ________ into the ________________.

AFTERTHOUGHTS… PONDER AND PRAY

Ponder Points: Discuss (or ponder) some of the ways you are wealthy in Christ. Why do you think Jesus said more about money and our handling of material possessions than any other specific subject?

Prayer Points: Take time to thank God for all the ways He has made you wealthy in Christ. Ask God to give you wisdom in handling money and specific insight into how to use your resources to honor Him and impact the harvest.
